Long time, no blog. I haven't recently taken any new fashion pictures but that is no excuse to not blog. I am hoping to make my blog about a fashion and a pinch of lifestyle. I have noticed I have been reaching for a lot of the same things this month and the last. It has been super cold which gave me the excuse to pull out warmer clothing and purchase new items.
At the end of October, Old Navy had this great sale in which I blogged about my purchases. One of my purchases was this cream with gold hardware quilted vest. It is an exact dupe for J. Crew's Excursion vest. The only difference I can find is that it is much thinner but still provides me warmth. I also saw that their vests come in a coral red color and black. They also have puffer vests in an assortment of colors.

I have definitely overused my monogrammed pullover this month. The inside is so soft, and a monogram never hurt nobody. The purple monogram goes perfectly with the navy fleece. Seriously, what is better than a monogram and navy!! I recommend you get one if you live somewhere that does not get that cold. This is going to definitely be one of my winter essentials.
My favorite, favorite has to be my J. Crew Utility jacket. At first, the army green color did not appeal to me, but I realized it went with so many of my outfits. It's so warm but not overbearing. I love pairing it with patterned oxfords that contrast it nicely. I highly recommend you invest in an utility or field jacket.
This chambray shirt from Charles River Apparel has been so versatile in my closet. It can be work alone with leggings and a statement necklace. It also could be dressed up with a cable knit sweater, statement necklace, and pixie pants. You can just wear it around the house on lazy days also! Chambray shirts should be an essential in your everyday wardrobe. Even if you don't classify yourself as a "prep" you still need to own this piece of clothing.
Vineyard Vines tees have always been one of my most favorite piece of clothing. I noticed lately that I have been wearing this specific one non-stop. The blue color automatically draws one's attention and stands out in the fall colors. Most of the times, I just pair it with leggings and riding boots but this can also be dressed up with a vest and pixie pants. One con about their t-shirts are that they are a little on the expensive side but you do get your wear out of them. I always order mine oversized in a medium. .
For my birthday, my mom took me on a shopping spree. I already owned an armful of cardigans and of course had to purchase a few more. My excuse was "They're on sale!". I love cardigans especially through this transitioning time of the season. Stripes, gingham, colors, and neutrals. You name it all! I have it. I purchased four (don't judge) cardigans from Forever 21, and they honestly are the softest cardigans I own. I have worn them so much since I have purchased them and cannot wait to get more. This one in the above picture is actually not from Forever 21 but from here.
I just came to realization that most of my favorites are outerwear. But, nevertheless, they are really important pieces to have in your wardrobe. I believe all these pieces can be dressed up or down. Plus, they are all very comfortable.
