Gift Guide: Valentine's Day

February 4, 2015

Valentine's Day is nearing and the search for the perfect Valentine's gift is leaving you frantic. Trust me, I know exactly how you feel. I am that kind of person who waits until the last moment to purchase a gift. That is why I love reading gift guides! Valentine's Day has to be one of my favorite holidays. No, I do not usually have a 'special someone' to celebrate it with, but I just love the feeling of this holiday. Everything and everybody is so cheerful and bright! It may be the pink and red array of colors that make me so happy or just the overall season.
This year, I really want to get my girl friends and siblings something really special and useful. While a box of chocolate is alwahs satisying, it obviously does not last. One of my favorite things to give and receive is any kind of wallet or clutch. They are so useful for everyday, and I know the gift would be used often. My favorite wallets or from Kate Spade. This one is a baby pink color is just perfect for this time of head!

I feel like everyone loves to receive some piece of jewelry. Whether it's a statement necklace, ring, or bracelet, I am sure the recover would be grateful for it. I, personally, have been eying the Loren Hope  Sarra Cuff for forever. Loren Hope is one of my favorite jewelry designers and always has gorgeous collections. I recently have been into stacking my bracelets. This piece is perfect for everyday wear. No matter what style you own, this would fit perfectly in you or your friend's wardrobe.
This next gift idea may be kind of obvious, but perfume is such a classic gift. If you are boy and want to give your girlfriend a gift, perfume is always a great option (especially if you are going on a date with her later that night). Everyone has differently fragrance preferences so before you choose a scent think of what they usually like to wear. I, personally, love any sweet and girly scents. Marc Jacob's Daisy perfume has to be one of my favorite scents. The posh fragrance is great for everyday wear. If the receiver likes more of a musky, floral-like scent, I would highly recommend Lovely from Sarah Jessica Parker.
As time is running out for you to get that last minute gift, you should invest in a nice watch for your loved one. I thought that last sentence was going to turn out to be 'punny', but I guess not. Watches are another daily essential of mine. They are so universal, and you can get one for both female and male. This Kate Spade Metro Watch is absolutely gorgeous. Lately, rose gold has just been calling my name. Her Grammercy Watch is also stunning!
Last but not least, makeup is alwahs a sweet gift! I rarely go out and purchase my own makeup unless it's face products. Every year, I get makeup palettes and sets from my friends and family. Over the year, I have been introduced to Urban Decay's Naked line. I feel like almost everyone has at least one
palette from them. I use my Naked Basics palette everyday. No joke. About a year or more ago, they released the 3rd palette. Yes, it is rose gold. Yes, I died when they released it. All the shadows are so smooth and pigmented. If the packaging doesn's intrigue you, then the product itself will blow you away. There are numerous variations on how you can do you eye makeup with this one palette. Every girl loves receiving makeup so why not get one with pretty packaging!
I hope hou enjoyed this gift guide. If you would like to see more gift ideas, go head over to Emily's blog as this was a collaboration. She will also be giving you five other Valentine's gift ideas. Go send her some love as her blog is absolutely adorable!
