Burgundy Babydoll Dress and Floppy Hat

November 4, 2015

A Seersucker State of MInd One of the top colors for fall has been burgundy, wine red, berry-color, or deep crimson (whichever technical color you want to call it). I am not really educated on the difference of those colors. Anyways, I stopped into the money-taker a few weeks ago -- Old Navy -- and picked up a few items from the huge sale that they were having. When Old Navy has sales, they have sales! I picked up their Chelsea booties for $8. Okay, in case you just fainted from that shock of a price, I'll repeat it again. $8! I thought the original price of 30 some dollars was a steal, but that was a home run (using baseball references for shopping... good job, Mikayla). I picked up four items from the sale, and it totaled up to be $28.

Not to brag, but my mom was pretty proud of me.
I was heading to a fall fashion show the following day, so I knew I needed something that shouted fall in one's face. Obsessing over floppy hats this season! Yep, you may or may not see me wearing this hat with 90% of my outfits. As I said in my last fashion post, this hat was sent to me through Brandzaffair, a company allowing shoppers to shop their favorite store's discounts and sales. It is from Nordstrom's BP collection. I really should pick up some more hats, so you all do not see the same one. What stores carry some cute floppy hats?

A little update on my life: by the time, you are reading this, I have chopped off a few inches of my hair. I probably have posted on Instagram already about it. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you might have noticed the extensive length of my hair. I have been wanting a chop for a few years now and am finally getting around to getting it. I am a year older since the 22nd of October. If you did not see that I took a break off because of my dad's passing, I am going try to get back in the swing of things. I have saved up almost enough to purchase my first DSLR camera. I have my first runway rehearsal for a spring fashion show I am in soon. That is basically it right now. I am pretty busy since mid-terms are here, and I am getting ready to head back to Florida to visit my brother at college for Thanksgiving. I am going to be one of those obnoxious people and tell you that Christmas is approximately 7 weeks away! But let's focus on one thing at a time.
I hope everything is going well for you! Have a super great day!

Verse of the Week:

1 Thessalonians 4:17
"After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
